I'm a professor of law and public policy. I live in Northern California. I've been doing genealogical research for about four years. My families are Bowie, Bryant, Birdsong, Brayboy, Carpenter, Gines, Johnson, Le Jay, Manson, Martin, and Sanford. I research both enslaved ancestors and those who were slaveowners.

- Buena Vista Plantation (La) - Buena Vist Plantation, Stonewall, De Soto Parish, Louisiana. My Brayboy and Le Jay ancestors were held in bondage at this place starting in the late 1850's.
