Thomas Benjamin Gaillard and his sister, Sinah Ann Catherine Gaillard Foster, purchased the east half of the northwest quarter and the east half of the southwest quarter of section thirty-six, in Township fifteen north, or range twelve, East, in the District of Lands subject to sale at Ouachita, Louisiana, containing one hundred and sixty acres and forty-one hundredths of and acre on 6 Jun 1846.
Thomas Benjamin Gaillard was a merchant and lived in Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi.
Sinah Ann Catherine Gaillard Foster is shown in records as S. A. C. Gaillard. She was married to Dr. John Foster and they owned and lived at Hermitage Plantation, Adams County, Mississippi.

The Gaillard family are possibly the slaveholders of Simon Gaillard, great great grandfather of Edward B Adams. Simon married Hannah Gray and their daughter, Louisa Gaillard married Perry Stewart. Perry Stewart is the great grandfather of Edward B Adams and was born on Rifle Point Plantation, Concordia Parish, Louisiana in 1856.
