Historical notes

John Brooks (b.1758-d.1845) was born in Montgomery Co., NC. His family probably lived in NC until the youngest son Michael was born there in 1807. The family eventually settled in Henry Co., TN where John Brooks established a plantation that was bequeathed to his wife in his 1843 Will.
